Norm passed away peacefully at 5.20 PM on April 28, 2026 at the Heavenly Home, a one-of-a-kind hospice facility in Mission Viejo, California. In the room with him were his son Michael, his grandson Daniel, his daughter Robyn on a What’s App call from India and his favorite hospice nurse Gemma.
Norm lived a wonderful life full of lots of love which overflowed to everybody who he met. Norm brought a lot of magic into the world which was about spreading happiness and love to many. He always helped others and didn’t think of himself first.
Norm’s 67-year marriage to Simone had it’s share of ups and downs but ultimately it was about love. Although Simone had many health issues Norm never wavered in taking care of her, even into his 90’s. He would drive her to doctor appointments and take her out for a drive.
Norm had a special relationship with his grandson Daniel, who became a true friend and who learned to love the Dodgers and Lakers as much as Norm. Although he didn’t get to see his granddaughter Sarah as much he loved her as equally as Daniel.
Norm had three children Michael, Deanne and Robyn. Although Deanne at 25 died when a drunk driver killed her and her friend who was 23, dad’s love for her never stopped. His daughter Robyn and her husband Michael spent a number of years living with Norm and Simone taking care of them. His son Michael also had the privilege of taking care of Norm for four months.
Norm had 4 brothers and 1 sister, Jerry, Pat, Lenny and Alan
Norm had numerous nieces and nephews, sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law, and many friends who truly loved him.
He is now with his wife Simone together with their families, their siblings and parents. He is talking to all of those Dodger and Laker greats and playing baseball and basketball with them. But most of all he is with everyone that he has ever come into contact with. They are all very joyful and happy to be with him once again sharing all of the love that Norm shared with all of them and everyone that has known him throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers and to continue spreading the joy, happiness and love of Norm please make donations in his name to:
