Randy is survived by his parents; his wife, Lori Rodriguez-Lexvold; his children, Riley Elyse, Tatum Ardis, and Abigail Reese Lexvold; his sisters Lynette (Robert) DiCrasto and Lori (Thomas) Faber; his father-in-law, Jose Rodriguez; his mother-in-law, Gina Rodriguez; his brothers-in-law, Jose Rodriguez, Jr., Miguel Rodriguez, and Juan Rodriguez.
Randy was born in Madison, WI on January 29, 1970 to Robert (Bob) and Lynda (Lyn) Lexvold, and graduated from Farrgut High School in Knoxville, TN. Studying Electrical Engineering at Georgia Tech and the University of Tennessee, he eventually began a successful career in software development for 27 years. On February 20, 2000, he married Lori, who he met through Match.com while they were both trying out the website for free. In August 2001, September 2004, and June 2006, he welcomed his three beautiful daughters, who, along with his faith in God, were the most important part of his life.
Randy was a devoted husband and father, great friend, and trusted co-worker. He enjoyed cycling, running, hiking, and backpacking with his friends and family. Always up for a new challenge, he competed in marathons, ultramarathons, and many triathlons – including Ironman Canada in 1999. Randy loved his family tremendously and had a huge heart, with a kindness and sincerity that made him instantly liked by everyone he met. His quick, sharp wit and his contagious smile forever touched the lives of so many. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on January 19 at The River Church Community at 670 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose, CA. Pastor Brad Wong will officiate. Memorial donations can be made to the GoFundMe campaign set up in Randy’s honor by AgileCraft (https://www.gofundme.com/jf4ueq-college-assist).
