Robert received his education at Occidental College and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. From 1978 to 1982 he served in the United States Navy, where he worked as an Air Traffic Controller, and travelled the world aboard the aircraft carrier, the USS Ranger. In 1987, he founded his own company, Home Exterminators Pest Control, and was much loved by his lifelong customers for his friendliness and attention to detail. He and Nelia were married for 42 great years. Robert’s passions included history, astronomy, muscle cars, aircraft, firearms, boats, and riding his motorcycle up the California coast.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Diamantina Diaz; and his brother, Mario Diaz. He is survived by his wife, Nelia; daughters, Robyn and Dorea; and son, Scott.
