Ruel de la Paz, 61, passed away on January 24, 2021 at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, CA, surrounded by the compassionate doctors and nurses who cared for him like their own family.
Even at his death, he remained faithful and dedicated to his commitment as a fearless frontliner.
Ruel is survived by his devoted wife, Abby, his loving mother, Linda, and sister, Ruth. His generosity and thoughtfulness will be missed at UC Irvine where he worked in the Sterile Processing Department.
Cremation arrangements are with Fairhaven Memorial Services in Mission Viejo, CA.
