He will be remembered for his warm heart, his generous spirit, and the countless ways he made the world a little brighter.
Born to a loving family, Sam grew up alongside his cherished triplet siblings Ivy, Sonny, and Belle. He shared his home with two devoted canine companions, Beignet and Noodles, who brought him daily joy and comfort.
From a young age, Sam expressed an unmistakable love for the arts. He spent hours drawing intricate designs, dreaming of one day becoming a tattoo artist whose work would celebrate individuality and stories. He also delighted in crocheting delicate pieces, caring for snails and rats and other animals with gentle curiosity, and baking sweet treats that he lovingly shared with friends, family, and neighbors. He found great satisfaction in doing things for other people, baking and cooking for others, often being the first to offer help whenever anyone was in need.
Sam’s favorite stuffed animal, Bug, accompanied him through many moments, a quiet reminder of his tenderness and the comfort he sought. His love for his mother was especially deep and she provided unconditional love and unwavering support. Their relationship was a source of strength and love for both, a testament to the profound bond they shared.
Though always ready to lift others, Sam struggled to find the same solace for himself. He carried a weight that grew too heavy, and despite the love that surrounded him, he felt it impossible to bear. His passing leaves a void that can never be filled, yet his memory lives on in the art he created, the laughter he sparked, and the love he gave so freely.
He is survived by his mother Laurie, his father Roch, his triplet siblings Ivy, Sonny, and Belle, his beloved dogs Beignet and Noodles, and his cherished stuffed animal friend Bug.
In honoring Sam’s memory, anyone who wishes to write down a special memory, a funny story, or a heartfelt note about Sam and send it to his mother would be greatly appreciated. These tributes will help keep his spirit alive and bring comfort to the family.
May Sam’s beautiful spirit continue to inspire compassion, creativity, and the courage to reach out for help when needed. In his memory, the family invites donations to the National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA), Rady Children’s Hospital or the San Diego Humane Society places he was touched by.
