I knew Stu, Joanna and Mariel during my California days in the 1980s and 90s. He was like a godfather to my son Adam. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace. My condolences to the family. Kabir Bedi

Stu had an infectious smile and was friendly always. When we look at the sign ups, we check to see if the Bernsteins are coming to enjoy Brunch each month. We are so sorry for your loss and we extend the condolences of our ARMDI friends who knew Stu or just exchanged pleasantries, because he was always pleasant. May you keep your fondest memories of life with Stu close in heart to get you through the toughest times and know that we are happy he touched our lives.

I only knew Stu for six years, but he became a good friend, He was a charter member of the "Sleeping Jews Film Group". Stew and I shared a love of old films, even very bad ones. We also enjoyed watching U-tube vides of the old Groucho Marx tv program.

We will miss him.

When I was first given the opportunity to move up and work as a sound editor at Universal probably in the early 80’s I met Stu and was he so kind and supportive to me. I never forgot how generous he was with his time and knowledge. My sympathies go out to all his family.
