Warren was born in New York City on January 28, 1932, to Wendell and Florence Finley. The family soon moved to Santa Ana, California, where Warren’s sister Marilyn was born. Warren received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, and his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Stanford University. He then graduated from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. Licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant and Lawyer in the state of California, Warren practiced law in Orange County. He also served as a Director of the Orange County Fair from 1974 to 1978, serving as President for one term. Warren was one of the founding Directors of Pacific Mercantile and Eldorado Bank, serving as Chairman of Eldorado Bank during the bank’s first three years of existence. In 1981, he participated in the acquisition and management of the Seattle Mariners. At heart, however, he was an inventor, which occupied much of his time after retirement. Warren also served in the Korea War and was a member of the Rotary Club since 1961. He also enjoyed travelling and hunting.
