William Steven Starr

Dr. William Steven Starr, “Bill,” passed away at the age of 66 on Saturday, August 19, 2017 in Mission Viejo. He was born on April 14, 1951 in Redwood City, CA to Howard and Jean Starr. Bill grew up in Redwood City attending Sequoia High School. Following High School Bill attended San Diego State majoring in Zoology and then on to UC Berkeley for Optometry School earning his Doctorate of Optometry. While in college Bill met Vicky, the couple soon fell in love and married on August 28, 1976. Together the couple celebrated over 40 years of marriage. Bill enjoyed science, optometry, sports, camping, and photography. His greatest love was simply spending time with family and friends. Bill is survived by his loving wife Vicky, his children Sandy and Brady, daughter-in-law Lindsey, grandchild Finley, and sister Carol. A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Fairhaven Memorial Services Chapel, 27856 Center Drive, Mission Viejo, CA.
