Antonious L’Von Burton was born on May 21, 1972, and peacefully departed this life on June 28, 2026. He will be remembered for his infectious laughter, kind heart, love for music, unwavering devotion to family, and lifelong passion for the Dallas Cowboys.
Antonious was a proud Alumni of Grambling State University, where he was a dedicated member of the renowned marching band. His love for music, school pride, and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his Father, David H. O’Neal Jr.; his Children, Sylvan Burton, Kira Burton, and Alayla Burton; his Granddaughters, Karma Burton and Lyric Burton; his Siblings, David O’Neal, Dimitria Burton, Doyle Tompkins, Michael Kannady, NeShunna Kannady, Teauna Stephney, and Amond Morrison; his Aunt and namesake, Antoinette (Regina) Burton; Cousins LaDonna Burton, Cameron Burton, Deni Burton, and Elgin Burton; along with many other relatives and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Mother, Sheila Bruno-Burton, and his cherished Grandparents, Myrtle “Lil Bit” Bruno and Sammy Burton.

A wake will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, located at 3215 Broadway Ave J in Galveston, TX 77550. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the same location. Attendees are encouraged to wear service colors of navy blue, white, and grey.
