Chris Osabuohien Uwadia

With profound love, gratitude, and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Chris O. Uwadia, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, mentor, and friend whose presence brought warmth, kindness, and joy to the lives of so many.

Chris was born and raised in Benin City, Nigeria, where he received his primary and secondary education in the Western Region of Nigeria. He continued his education at the University of Benin in Benin City, Nigeria, where he proudly earned his degree and laid the foundation for a life marked by service, perseverance, and purpose.

Chris was a devoted and hardworking man who built a meaningful career in the healthcare and pharmaceutical fields. He trained as a Phlebotomist and worked as a Pharmacy Technician Informationist. He also worked at Daiichi Pharmacy in New Jersey before retiring in 2020. Through his work and interactions with others, Chris demonstrated the patience, gentleness, and compassion that were so deeply woven into his character.

Chris was united in marriage to Eniye Emuobosan Enaohwo, and together they shared a life grounded in love, family, and devotion for over 26 years. He was a proud father and survived by his beloved daughter, Scorpio. Family was at the very heart of Chris's life. He treasured his relationships with his brothers, Harris Uwadia and Henry Uwadia, and his sisters, Mrs. Yellow Akoda, Mrs. Helen Ebuga, Ms. Evelyn Uwadia, Mrs. Esther Uwadia Oligbo, and Mrs. Vera Uwadia Oluwatoba, as well as his extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

One of the most beautiful aspects of Chris's legacy was the love and care he extended to children beyond his immediate family. Throughout his lifetime, Papa Chris became a source of guidance, nurturing, encouragement, and love to many young people. Among those he helped raise and nurture to adulthood were the Enaohwo children, Kevhe, Ejiro, Ovie, Portia, and Joy and the Iluonokhalumhe children, Phillip Jr., Monique, Maxwell, and Justina. Chris played a significant role in their lives, helping to shape them into responsible adults who have gone on to establish themselves in their respective professional fields. His influence on their lives is a lasting testament to his generous heart and his commitment to family.

Chris enjoyed traveling and had a genuine appreciation for life and the world around him. He loved football and basketball and took an active interest in general politics, traditional matters, and cultural issues. He was a man who valued conversation, community, heritage, and the opportunity to connect with others.

His commitment to community extended beyond his family. Chris volunteered in Homeowners Association (HOA) activities and was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church in Missouri City, where he was part of a community of faith and fellowship.

Those who knew Chris will remember him as a friendly, happy, family-oriented, gentle, kind-hearted, patient, devoted, resilient, and humorous man. He had a way of making people feel welcomed and valued. His benevolence, generosity, and willingness to care for others created a legacy that cannot be measured simply by years lived, but by the many lives he touched.

Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we give thanks to God for the gift of Chris's life. His earthly journey may have come to an end, but the love he gave, the wisdom he shared, the lives he nurtured, and the memories he created will continue to live on in those who were blessed to know him.

To all of the family and friends who supported Chris and his loved ones physically, financially, emotionally, spiritually, and in every other way, heartfelt gratitude is extended to you. May God bless you all abundantly for your kindness, compassion, and support during this difficult time.

And to our beloved Chris: “Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. I’m praying for strength to carry on without you. To live in the heart of those you love is not to die. I love you beyond words, I miss you beyond measure. Sleep well, my knight in shining armor, until the resurrection morning when we shall meet to part no more.”

Good night, Papa Chris. Thank you for your love, your kindness, your guidance, and your benevolence. You are deeply loved, greatly appreciated, and forever remembered. May you rest peacefully until that glorious resurrection morning when we will meet again and never have to say goodbye.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park Missouri City Funeral Home, 4217 Shipmans Cove Boulevard, Missouri City, TX 77545, US, on August 27, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and again on August 28, 2026, beginning at 9:00 am.

The funeral will take place at Forest Park Missouri City Funeral Home, 4217 Shipmans Cove Boulevard, Missouri City, TX 77545, US, on August 28, 2026, at 10:00 am.

Committal will follow at Paradise Cemetery South, 2237 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581, US, on August 28, 2026, at 12:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on August 28, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
