Aaron was born in Mobile, Alabama to Aaron Norman and Eleanor Melvina Johnston on December 16, 1945. He worked as a Boilermaker out of Local 112, prior to retirement in 1994.
Aaron was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He made life long friends with whom he worked and enjoyed the great outdoors. He loved to laugh, have fun and spend time with others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Eleanor “Tookie” Langham. He is survived by his children, Margaret “Dunka” (Billy) Pappas and George Nelson Johnston; grandchildren, Katie and Will Pappas, and Bella and Nelson Johnston; sister Jane (Peggy) Johnston and his brother George Joseph (Wendy) Johnston; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the wonderful care givers at The Havens in Pensacola that made Aaron’s last days content and comfortable.
At a later date, the family will hold a private graveside service to honor his life.
