Ada Frances Anthony – a 90 year-old resident of Creola, AL passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. She was born November 13, 1929 in Conecuh County, Alabama. She loved Jesus above all things, was a wonderful, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. She was a member of CenterPointe Assembly of God (formerly Chickasaw Assembly of God) in Mobile, AL where she taught Sunday school for 60 years. She served as the Women’s Missionary Council President locally and served at the sectional level as well. She enjoyed spending time in her mountain home in Robbinsville, NC and travelling extensively with her husband and children. She is revered by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Leland David Anthony; her parents, Doyle and Ethel Coker; two sisters and one brother. She is survived by her loving children, Sharon Davidson (Gerald); Darrell Anthony (Debbie), Karen Mothershed (Larry), Jeffrey Anthony (Ginamarie), and Phillip Anthony (Jenny); grandchildren, Tom DiStefano IV(Alyse), Trent Davidson (Brittany), Katie Anthony, David Anthony (Melissa), Taylor Anthony, Sara Anthony, Sidnie Anthony, Bryant Anthony, Ben Anthony, Will Anthony, and Claire Anthony; great-grandchildren, Weston Leland Anthony, Cecelia DiStefano, Jonathan Cash Davidson, Tom DeStefano V; brother, Hawood Coker (Pat).
Visitation will be held from Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. chapel funeral service. Interment will follow in Creola Cemetery.
