Albert Neil Hudgens passed away May 9, 2020, at his home on Dauphin Island, Alabama. Mr. Hudgens was born on June 6, 1929 in Montgomery, Alabama to Andrew Euell Hudgens and Annie Maude Hudgens. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University in 1952. After graduating from Tulane he served as a pilot in the United States Air Force on active duty from 1952 to 1957 and in the Reserves until 1975. He was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Upon his release from active duty he attended law school and received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Alabama in 1959. Mr. Hudgens practiced Law in Mobile for forty years, and when away from his law practice, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and family. He was a devoted husband and father.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bettie Warren Hudgens. He is survived by his son, Lewis Neil Hudgens; daughter, Margaret Hudgens Ferguson (Billy); and two grandsons, Jackson Neil Hudgens and Warren Andrew Ferguson, all of whom will miss him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are requested to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Bettie Hudgens Memorial Scholarship at Springhill College.
