

Alfred William “Buddy” McDade – born in Chattanooga, TN on October 23, 1940 and a resident of Mobile, AL for the past 60 years, died peacefully at home on Saturday, October 27, 2012. He was surrounded by his wife of 51 years, Anne Marie, his five daughters, and other close family members whom he loved and cherished. Buddy worked as an independent contractor in Mobile for over fifty years. Buddy loved working and painting for many families in Mobile who were also like family to him. When Buddy wasn’t working he enjoyed fishing and trips to the mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina. Buddy was preceded in death by his father, Jess McDade; his mother, Doris McDade Phillips; his siblings, Edward, Jerry, Judy, Billy, Ricky, Lewis, Wilmer and Bobby; and his grandchildren, Angel Marie McGhee, Brandon William Landry, and Evan Michael McGhee. He is survived by his wife, Anne Marie Trawick McDade; his children, Lauren Hendry (Andy), Karen Taylor (Barry), Sharon Rand (Tony), Carmen McDade, and Angela McGhee (Michael); his grandchildren, Andrea Kendrick (Steven), Brian Hendry (Angel), Drew Hendry, Darrell Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Wade Taylor, Joshua Castillow, Emily Castillow, Timothy Sheffield, and Colin McGhee; his great-grandchildren, Jake Stewart, Addilyn Buckalew, Allison Walker, and Payton Rayburn; his brothers and sisters, Virgil McDade (Myra), Clifford Phillips (Sonia), Connie Foster, and Rita Phillips; nieces, nephews, friends, and two special friends, Pat and Robert Maeher. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with the Memorial Service at 7:00pm at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Infirmary Hospice, Little Sisters of the Poor, Saint Mary’s Home or a charity of your choice. We would like to acknowledge the great care and support we received from Dr. Marc Gottlieb, his nurse, Pat Davis, and the staff at Infirmary Hospice. In honor of Buddy, please dress comfortably and if you would like in your favorite jeans.
