

Amelia Rich Spencer, age 88, died peacefully in her home in Niceville, Florida, with her loving family by her side. Amelia, Mimi to her family, was born on June 5, 1928, in Manning, SC, and died November 21, 2016. Mimi is survived by one son, Tracy Spencer, of Valparaiso, FL, daughter Audrey Sementilli (Mark) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and daughter Carol Rose of Niceville, FL; grandchildren Christopher Spencer, Jennifer Spencer, Bradley Hart (Ansley), Noelle Hart, Michael Hart, and Nick Guthrie (Jennifer); and great-grandchildren Jewel and Miles Biggs, Angelyn, Allyson and Arianne Hart, and Amelia Charles Spencer. Her brother, Bill Rich, of Lexington, SC, her sister-in-law Nellie Spencer of Franklinton, LA, and many loving nieces and nephews also survive her.
Amelia was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Joe, her youngest son, George, her mother and father and seven sisters.
Prior to moving to Niceville in 2010, Amelia resided in Mobile, AL, for 52 years. She dedicated her life to her family and was happiest when surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved her faithful Savior Jesus, her beloved church family at Crawford Baptist Church in Mobile, and her newer church family at First Presbyterian Church in Niceville. A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lott Cemetery in Georgetown, Alabama. Amelia requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to Crawford Baptist Church in Mobile.
The family is so thankful for the care of Covenant Care Hospice and the 24/7 loving hands of Mimi’s grandchildren, Christopher and Noelle, who massaged, pampered, read, and sang to Mimi during the final 11 days of her life. Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, Mobile, AL.
