Anita Louise Merritt

Anita Louise Hargett O'Hear Merritt was born in Birmingham Alabama. She was a longtime resident of Theodore, AL.

Anita loved living on the water and loved to fish. She had a green thumb and loved to grow beautiful flowers. Anita also bred poodles and loved each of them. Anita was a great cook and loved cooking for her family. She was an avid Alabama football fan, Roll Tide! She actually had the opportunity to play golf with Paul "Bear" Bryant.

Anita is proceeded in death by her parents William Gray Hargett and Dolly Estelle Nabors Hargett; Her late husband James Wood O'Hear; her sisters Patricia Ann Hargett Moseley and Beverly Elaine Hargett; Her husband Van Dee Merritt; and her two nephews Robert Daniel Moseley and William Derek Moseley.

She is survived by her son Brian Patrick O'Hear (Mandy); her two Grandchildren Brian Patrick O'Hear, Jr. and Myah Ryleigh O'Hear; Great Granddaughter Teagan Rose Scott-O'Hear; a special Great Neice Lauren Condon; Brother-in-law Robert B Moseley; Sister-in-law Nell Turner; Nieces Cynthia Moseley and Karen Moseley Smilie(Scott); Nephew David Shawn Moseley; Great Nephews Shawn Moseley, Jr., Brandon Moseley, Jacob, and Josh Smilie, as well as other family and friends.
