Mrs. Ann Virginia Bennett, age 90, of Mobile, AL, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David Murphy Thomas Bennett,; her son, Douglas Marshall Gonzales; and a brother, Joseph Warren Chastain. Mrs. Bennett is survived by her four sons, Richard Warren Gonzales (Debbie Marie) of Spanish Fort, Paul Jefferson Gonzales of Mobile, Donald Joseph Gonzales (Heather) of Menominee, MI, and Edward Bruce Gonzales (Jennifer) of Mobile; ten grandchildren, Mitchell Evan Gonzales, Daniel Christopher Gonzales, Kathryn Marie Gonzales, Shannon Michelle Gonzales, Michael Joseph Gonzales, Stephen Charles Gonzales, Sara Stewart Gonzales, Martha Virginia Gonzales, Annie Warren Gonzales, and Madelyn Claire Lott; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Pine Crest Cemetery.
