Annette Hethcox Milam

Born March 23, 1937, in Talladega, Alabama to Nolan and Lena Hethcox. She attended Talladega County schools and graduated from Winterboro High School in 1955. On November 21, 1955, she married Gene Sims Milam. They have been married 61 years. She lived in Talladega, AL, Compton, California and Mobile, AL and was a homemaker.

Annette was a member of Moffett Road Assembly of God Church in Mobile, AL from 1977-present. Survivors include her loving husband, Gene Sims Milam; her children, Terri Milam Nelson (Robby), Robert Dean Milam (Rebecca}, and Robin Milam Dixon (Terry); grandchildren, Alicia Nelson McKee (Mark), Terra Dixon Price (Nick), Stephen Garrett Nelson (Sarah), Carly Noel Dixon, Mila Blair Dixon and Amy Annette Milam; great-grandchildren, AnaGrayson, Drewanne, Sydney, Kennedy, Hadley. Storey, Layton and Garrett; and one brother, Nolan Hethcox (Ruthie). Annette was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, one brother and one great-granddaughter, Sadie. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her "Gana" and loved her very much. She loved her church and friends a great deal and for several years worked with special friends on the Wednesday Night Church Supper Crew at her church.

The visitation will be Saturday, May 27, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Moffett Road Assembly of God. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jerry Jenkins will officiate.
