Artie is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Diane, his daughter Amber Hearin, son Artemus Edward Watson, granddaughter Christa Hearin, and brother Cris Watson. Artie was a wonderful family man and a loving father.
He is preceded in death by his son Timmie Watson, brother Glenn Watson, parents Artemus and Rita Watson, and grandparents Artemus and Josephine Watson.
Artie was born August 7, 1945 in Mobile. He graduated from McGill Toolen High School. Artie was a HVAC Superintendent for the University of South Alabama where he retired after 25 years.
His funeral is scheduled for Friday, April 24. Visitation will be at St. Matthews Catholic Church from 11 am to 1 pm followed by Mass at 1 pm. Father Joseph Boling will officiate. Artie will be buried at Pinecrest Cemetery along side his son Timmie.
Pallbearers: Geoff Huitt, Kevin Huitt, James Irby, Reede Mendenhall, Roy Miller, and Christopher Miller. Honaoary pallbearer is Artemus Edward Watson.
