Barbara Jean Poe, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2019 from complications related to cardiac disease. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked for 10 years at the Coast Guard in Mobile, AL and spent her retirement serving as a librarian in Woodlands Texas and serving her church. One of her favorite church services was assisting her daughter teach children’s choir and other church related activites. Her family legacy would reflect her love of her Lord, family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Her body has been healed and she is rejoicing with family and friends who have gone before her. Barbara is preceded in death by her spouse, Sammie W. Poe, her dad, Robert E. Quinnett, Sr. mother, Lottie Lorraine Inman, step-father, Andy Inman and step-mother, Florence Quinnett. She is survived by her children; John A. Boone, Jr. (Kim), Joy Renae Horton (Warren), and James Gregory Boone (Renee). She is also survived by her brothers, Robert E. Quinnett, Jr., Charles Quinnett, former husband and father of her children, John A. Boone, Sr., nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
