Barbara was born to Ernest Vernon and Lillian Cecile Smith Swan on April 23,1930. She was a native of Mobile, graduate of Convent of Mercy, she was a career homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Ashbel H. Sr., son, A. Hubbard Jr. and daughter Deborah Huller.
She is survived by her children Tony, Karen Blackard, Angela Bolanos (Marcel), Donna Carney
and her sister Francine McIntosh. 9 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
Also an extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was lovingly cared for by Daisy Inge and Debbie Clark. The family is deeply indebted to their
special talents. She loved family life, her neighbors of Country Club Village, travel and most of all Mardi Gras.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6100 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Alabama 36609. The family will have Repass at St. Dominic Catholic Parish.
