Barbara A. Worthington

A graduate of Old Dominion University, Barbara was a retired English teacher and taught many years at both Blount and Williamson High School in Mobile.

She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Mobile and for the last few years attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in Theodore. While at Providence, she was active in singing in the church choir. Barbara also had a passion for bowling and participating in several bowling leagues. Inline image

Barbara’s parents, Gerald and Betty Worthington, and her sister, Jeannie Worthington, all of Virginia Beach, Virginia, preceded her in death. Her devoted friend, Frank Carter, also preceded her in death.

Barbara is survived by her Uncle and Aunts, Kenneth and Nancy Worthington and Fred and Betty Bates of Owosso, Michigan. She is also survived by her devoted friends, Louise Jarrard, Daniel Leonard, and Cindy Sweet.

Barbara will be laid to rest with her parents and sister at the Church of the Ascension in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
