Bertram John Fey

B. John Fey – born December 8, 1930 in Lafayette, LA and a resident of Mobile passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011. Mr. Fey was a Delta Airlines employee for 37 years and was instrumental in helping establish the airline’s service to Mobile in 1982. He served as a Major in the U.S. Army reserve and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Fey was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores M. Fey of Mobile; children, John Alan Fey of Birmingham, AL, James Andrew Fey (Tennie) of Theodore, AL, and Julie Ann Fey of Mobile; grandchildren, Tiffany, Pamela, and Timothy Fey of Theodore, and James Mathew “Matt” Carr (Jill Klinger) of Austin, TX; brother, Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Fey, Ch. Lt. Col. USAF (Ret.); other relatives, and friends. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, February 21, 2011, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church by Fr. Thomas Fey and Deacon Ed Connick. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Sunday, February 20, from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
