December 3, 1938 - June 4, 2021 A native of Eight Mile and a resident of Fort Morgan for the past 40 years died on Friday, June 4, 2021. Ms. Register was the wife of the love of her life, the late L.W. "Roscoe" Register. She is survived by her three daughters and son-in-laws, Shari Register Glenn, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Scott (Michelle), and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Gordon Stanley, Jr. (Vicki) Her brother, Edward Lafayette Whisenhant, Jr. "Gigi/Gi" loved spending time with her grandsons whom she loved and adored: Warren Gordon Stanley, III (Tina), Christopher Brian Stanley, Jeffrey Ryan Stanley (Sarah), Robert Daniel “Bo” Norman, III, Andrew Register Scott, and Rhett Cooper Scott. Bettie is also survived by five adored great-grandchildren. Bettie was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend. Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
