

Betty Walsh Beaver Harris, a 13 year resident of Mobile, AL died in a Mobile hospital June 6, 2017. She would have celebrated her 88th birthday June 28, 2017. She was born and reared in Baton Rouge, LA. She met her first husband Bill E. Beaver in Baton Rouge where they began their family. Betty and Bill later moved to Little Rock, AR where they worked together in sales, eventually going into real estate. After she became a broker, they formed their own company.
She was married to her first husband, Bill Beaver, for 50 years. After his passing and moving to Mobile, AL she met Mr. Charlton D. Harris whom had also been married for 50 years to his first wife before her passing. They met on a local area seniors dolphin watching cruise and married December 5, 2006. Betty Harris led a widowed person’s support group in Mobile, AL for many years. The most recent home for her and her husband, Charlton D. Harris, was with her sister
Elizabeth Walsh Badon and her brother-in-law Melvin Badon.
She was the fifth child born to Alfred Perry Walsh, Sr. and Blanche Christine Herrington Walsh.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brothers Kenneth Walsh and Alfred P. Walsh, Jr., her sisters Marguarite Walsh Powers and Elouise Walsh Jones and her first husband Bill E. Beaver. She is survived by her husband Charlton D. Harris, her sons William David Beaver (Murrie Ives) of Charlotte, NC and John Thomas Beaver of Mobile, AL, grandchildren Tiffanie Kellog (Rob) of Tampa, Florida, Robert Beaver (Carrie) and Tracie Brown (Mike) of Charlotte, NC, her sister Elizabeth “Libby” Walsh Badon (Melvin) of Mobile, AL and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday June 9, 2017 at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon Saturday June 10, 2017 at Government Street Presbyterian Church led by Rev. Dr. George Sinclair. Interment will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum.
