She was married to Dr. Edward White on June 11, 1950 at Hoopeston, Illinois at the First Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on Feb.13, 2018. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage.
She attended and graduated from Hoopeston, Illinois public schools, graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 1944 with a degree in Bible and Evangelistic music. While at Moody Bible Institute, she sang background vocals for George Beverly Shea, who was the vocalist for Billy Graham. She also attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary graduating in 1950 with a BS in Religious Education. She made her profession of faith at age nine and was active through the years in church music and missions. She was a past President of the Auxiliary at Mobile College. Mrs. White taught music at Barton Academy in Mobile, Alabama in the late 1950’s and taught piano lessons at home until her children came when she devoted all her time to being a mother.
Mrs. White is survived by her daughter, Martha Elaine White , son John Edward White, and grandson, Bradley Edward White, special daughter Catherine Qian and grandson Alex Huang, special niece Athalia Hunt, nephews David Hunt, Robert Hunt, Steven Hunt, Skipper Bigelow, nieces Linda Johnson, Pamela Bigelow. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers James, and stillborn twin, Morris, sister Louise Bigelow and nephew Ron Hunt.
She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church where she had been a member of the Bell Choir and Vocal choir.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Spring Hill Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery West.
