Mrs. Blanche Doreen Holm, age 78, native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and resident of Mobile, AL, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Egnar and Gunborg Erickson. Doreen married her husband, Edward, on July 6, 1963. She was a gifted musician and used her talents at several churches throughout her life to the glory of God and was a member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church. She taught school for over eight years in Canada. Mrs. Holm is survived by her husband of 52 years, Edward Holm, son, Dr. Robert Holm and his wife Kathryn, three grandchildren, Emma, Karolina and Connor. She is also survived by her sister, Bernice Giesbrecht. A memorial service to celebrate Doreen’s life will be announced at a later date.
