Celebration of Life services for Bobby Max Smith, 82, will be held 3:00 PM, Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in the Chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL, 36605. Officiating services will be Reverend Jimmy McDuffie.
Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Pine Crest West Cemetery, 1599 Snow Road S., Mobile, AL, 36695.
Bobby Max Smith was born February 6, 1937, in Andalusia, AL, to the late Wilmer LeRoy and Essie Hutto Smith and was called home May 31, 2019 in Mobile, AL. He served this grateful nation by enlisting in the United States Navy. Bobby worked for Scott Paper and loved talking on his Hamm Radio. Bobby enjoyed traveling to England to visit family. Family was very important to Bobby and had a great love for them.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of twenty-three years; Jean Tennant, two sons: Ronald and Scot Smith, one grandson; Daryl Smith, and one brother; Jimmy Smith.
Left with beautiful memories of Bobby will be two daughters: Bobbie (Robert) Strong, and Wendy (Deanna) Smith, eight stepchildren: Gordon (Fail) Fant, Libbie (Bobby) Allenback, Nancy (Mike) Cole, Allan (Angie) Fant, Gerald (Margaret) Fant, Tim (Laura) Fant, Anthony (Dawn) Fant, Karen (Clay) Sullivan, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.
Pallbearers will be Gerold Tant, Alan Fant, Anthony Fant, Tim Fant, Bobby Allenbach, Clay Sullivan, Dennis McDuffie, and Thomas Fant.
Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Tennant of England and Mike Coke.
