Brenda Carol (Hayes) Dennis went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, 17 June 2026, at age 78. Brenda lived for her family and loved them fiercely. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She lived a life loving people without judgement and was always willing to listen and comfort others. Her love and empathy transcended across generations where her grandchildren were able to experience an unconditional love most of us aren't fortunate enough to experience. She undoubtedly touched their lives in ways God would have sent none other to do so.
Although the job she was most passionate about was being a homemaker and caring for her family, she also worked selflessly for years as a volunteer for organizations like Mims Park Little League and the various Mobile County Public Schools her children attended.
Brenda spent the good majority of her life as a proud member of the Beta Sigma Phi women's sorority. She held various positions during her 54 years with BSP and she dearly loved her sisters of the yellow rose. She was a member of The Living Word Church where she loved her church family dearly. Although her love still surrounds us, her presence is deeply missed, but through our faith and his grace we know we will see her again and when we do, she'll meet us with a huge hug.
She was preceded in death by her parents Victor Clyde Hayes and Johnnie Mae (Ellis) Hayes and is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ronald Boyd Dennis, her children Christopher, Lori McDermott (Michael), and Jeffrey (Jessica), and her grandchildren Jacob, Kayla, Jonathan, Michael, Katie, Bella, and Grayson. Additionally she's survived by her siblings Peggy Allen, Victor Hayes (Dianne), and Nancy Crum (Wayne).
Funeral service will be held from the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
