Born in Pensacola, FL on March 11, 1965, Brett was the beloved son of Jerry and Lucky Esneul.
Brett grew up in Mobile, AL but moved to Gulf Shores during his adult years. He graduated from Huntingdon College majoring in Economics and Finance with a minor in History. During his college years he served as President of his fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. Brett’s love for history led him to his chosen career path of becoming an antique dealer. His work as an antique dealer wasn’t just a profession, it was a passion. He had an eye for what was valuable and timeless. But this also extended beyond objects—Brett saw value in sweet moments and shared time with the ones he loved.
Brett had faithful loyalty to those he loved. He had the deepest and sincerest love for his father and mother and their unwavering devotion and selfless care, love for his sister, Kristen and brother-in-law, Richard, love for his nephew and nieces, Grant, Karrie and Rachael, love for his Aunt Kakie and family—simply, Brett had love for all family and friends.
Brett’s life was marked by many loves— late night fishing on the Gulf Shores state pier, combing the beach for seashells, sitting around the table playing games trying to outmaneuver you for a win, love for the sparkle of a fine jewel, love for the dusty charm of an antique, and a love for a the scent of Polo Black cologne.
Brett was a cherished son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend who leaves behind memories of his great humor and wit that we will all remember with a smile.
A visitation for Brett will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Providence Presbyterian Church, 2320 Schillinger Rd S, Mobile, AL 36695, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile, AL.
