Mr. Byron E. “Bib” Cook – a native of Andalusia, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL for sixty years, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Cook was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from International Paper Company after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Jackie Cook. He is survived by five daughters, Bonnie (Richard Campeau) Cook of New Orleans, LA, Amy (Michael) Bridges of Mobile, AL, Trudy (Tom) Jones of Mobile, AL, Jenny Cook of Mobile, AL, and Mary Ellen (Trey) Meynig of Victoria, TX; two sisters, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Mr. Cook’s daughters wish to express their thanks and appreciation to all of his nurses and caregivers for their compassionate care. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, February 1, 2013 from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street. The family will receive friends from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sage Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, 150 South Sage Avenue, Mobile, AL 36606. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
