Byron Timothy Hobbs

Byron Timothy “Tim” Hobbs passed from this world on September 15, 2026, at the age of 76. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Tim is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Diane Hobbs, with whom he created a beautiful family and wonderful memories.

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Tim Hobbs (Emme) and Benji Hobbs (Mandy) and his sister, Karen Jones.

He was a proud grandfather to Taylor Bowling (Charlie), Clay Hobbs (Mallory), Cole Hobbs (Morgan), Abbie Ryan (Wesley), Emily Hobbs, and Maddie Hobbs. His greatest joy continued with his great- grandchildren, Jayce Cazalas, Ellie Kate Cazalas, Blakely Bowling, Breland Bowling, Marley Blake Hobbs and Tripp Hobbs.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Hobbs and his parents, William Drafton Hobbs and Laura Ausley Hobbs.

Tim enjoyed the great outdoors and could often be found doing the things he loved most: hunting, fishing with friends, gardening, and taxidermy. In the last few years, Tim rediscovered his love of art and painted beautiful pictures that he gifted to his family. He also had great love and a special place in his heart for his little dog, Buddy, who was his loyal companion until the very end.

More than anything else, Tim loved his family. He treasured the time spent together and the memories made along the way. His presence brought something special to the people around him and he always had a joke or story that would bring a smile to your face. His humor will be deeply missed by his entire family.

Funeral Services for Tim will be held on Monday, September 21st at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile, Alabama. Visitation will begin at 12:00 and the service will immediately follow at 1:00.

Interment will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile, Alabama.
