Carol Montez Belcher, passed away at her home on January 10, 2026. She was born to J. L. and Esther Harrison on December 11, 1944 in Panama City, Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Charles Canterbury and Rod Canterbury (Judy), her husband of 50 years Owen Charles Belcher, and her son Derrick Owen Belcher. She is survived by her daughter Victoria Carol (Belcher) Necaise and other family and friends.
A long-time resident of Mobile, AL, Tez, as she was affectionately known, owned Saraland Pet Grooming with her husband for 30 years and was active in her church and community. She was a devoted wife and mother. Tez was a blessing to those who knew her. Her humor, caring spirit, and love for God will always be a reminder of who she was.
A Celebration of Life will be held St. Elmo Seventh Day Adventist Church, 8970 March Rd., Irvington, AL 36544 at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church for the piano fund in memory of Tez Belcher. A GoFundMe has also been set up for donations to the church for a new piano.
