Carolyn Ruth Hodge Sheffield

Carolyn Hodge Sheffield, 65, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2019 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. She was born Jan. 28, 1954, to Herbert and Marie Hodge. She was a 1972 Graduate of Coffeeville High School. Carolyn enjoyed the simple pleasures of spending time with family, attending church, singing gospel songs, and thrift store shopping. Carolyn had a special talent for sewing clothes and baking delicious cakes. She was skilled in the art of forgiveness and known for her outspoken nature tempered by her compassion for others. Carolyn will be missed by her husband, Frank Sheffield; daughter, Melody Johnson (Jack); a brother, Donald Hodge (Donna); sisters: Penny Walker, Trisha Deese, Annette Steadham, Dorothy Hodge, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family, friends, and others whose lives Carolyn touched are invited to Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St, Mobile, AL 36606, Saturday, July 20th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. to remember Carolyn and celebrate her life.
