Catherine Rosalie Love

Catherine Rosalie Love, 72, a native and lifetime resident of Mobile, AL, died Monday, October 12, 2020. She is preceded in death by Thomas Paul Darawich - "Daddy", Bernice Carlson Love - "Mama", and Samuel Lamar Love - "Love".

After studying at the University of Alabama, she devoted her career to education, serving in the classroom for more than 50 years.

Catherine leaves to cherish her memory son, Ralph Harrison Sheffield III, of Atlanta, daughter, Laura-Catherine Sheffield (Ryan) Parham of Mobile, brother, Samuel Lamar Love, Jr. of Blue Ridge, Ga, sister, Paulette Love Mataich of Peachtree City, Ga., niece, Ashley Fobes (Wes) Rini of Mayfield Village, Ohio, nephew, Frazer Carlson Love of Athens, Ga., devoted friends, Patty Mulkey and Sandi Christian. She also leaves behind her loyal dog Aurora, three grand-dogs - Patton, Trina and Riker - and the thousands of men and women whose lives she touched as their teacher.

The family will receive friends and family at a Memorial Visitation on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St., Mobile, AL
