A native of Neillsville, Wisconsin, Cecil was a resident of Irvington, Alabama for over 50 years. He was retired from IBEW Local #505 where he was a member for 62 years. He was a longtime member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church, and a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Cecil was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Christine Kossow Christman, his parents, Agnes and Claire Christman, his brother, Charles Christman and his sister, Laurabelle Francel.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Bob Eybers of Duluth, GA and Angela and Stacey Wilson of Stone Mountain, GA; grandson, Hunter Wilson of Stone Mountain, GA; sisters, Clara Raya, Irene Larson and Martha (Edwin) Jensen; brother, Donald Christman; many well loved nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Cecil will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 13790 S Wintzell Ave, Bayou La Batre, Alabama 36509. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Saturday 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 5956 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, Alabama 36619.
