

Charles Brint Green passed away on May 24, 2025. He was born December 21st, 1931, in Jackson, TN and moved with his family to Mobile, AL, February 1932. Charlie graduated from Murphy High School Class of ‘49 and he was a loyal alumni for his entire life. He graduated from Auburn University (Alabama Polytechnic institute) Class of ’55. He was a United States Air Force veteran and was stationed at Brookley Field in Mobile. He tirelessly worked for International Paper for 37 years. During that time his journey took him to places including Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, New York, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania, where he and his family resided for 18 years. While in Lewisburg, PA, he was very active in his church and community. Charlie was a member of Charity Lodge 144, and Williamsport Pennsylvania’s Consistory. Charlie, and his family moved back to Mobile and thought he had finished his engineering career when he retired from IP in 1992. Instead, he worked for BE&K Group for four additional years before officially retiring. He was an avid member of the Mobile Power Squadron, Spanish Fort United Methodist Church, and The Five Rivers “Global Methodist” Church. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, William M. and Margie Jernigan Green, his “better half” of 64 years, Mary Hubbard Green, daughter Dorothy G. Walter, brother William M. Green Jr., sister Margie Anne Green Paris, “special” brother-in-law William L. Paris, sister-in-Law Barbara H. Lund, and great granddaughter Dorothy Willow Walter. Charlie is survived by three loving daughters, Brenda G. (Paul) Killian, Cynthia G. Cunningham, Margie G. (Bruce Robinson-dec.), eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and nephews, nieces, and cousins. There will be a Celebration of life for Charlie at Five Rivers Church, Prodisee Pantry, Friday May 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Five Rivers Church or a charity of your choice.
