Charles D. Helms (Chuck), 74, long-time resident of Mobile, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Fairhope, AL. He was born to Beuford and Edith Helms on November 10, 1942 in Fort Payne, AL. During his life, he owned several successful businesses, but spent the majority of his career in Automobile Sales. He was a loving father – cherished his family above all else. He enjoyed the water, especially walking on the beach. He will be greatly missed. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Shelba (Kenneth) Parks. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Helms; son, Chris Helms; six grandchildren, Morgan, Mallory, Noah, Garland, Isabel, and Madelyn; one great-granddaughter, Cora Sage; one brother, Lee (Colleen) Helms; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members. A visitation for Mr. Helms will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., with a memorial service immediately following at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile.
