Charles Lewis Herring died unexpectedly on June 22, 2018 at the age of 58, surrounded by his loved ones, in Mobile Infirmary Hospital. The world would be far better if it was filled with more men like Lewis. He was incredibly kind, honorable, hardworking, and always wanted to put the needs of others above his own. He devoted his life working for his family, and enjoyed a long career alongside his co-workers as a manager in the industrial field. Knowing Lewis was to love him, and we will never stop loving him.
He is survived by his son, Charles Brandon Herring (wife, Trinnaporn); granddaughter, Medina Lynn Herring; his daughter, Amy Lynn Betancourt (husband, Graham); grandson, Declan Graham Betancourt; granddaughter, Eleanor Jane Betancourt; his former wife and loving friend, Sandra Lynn Herring; his mother, Doris Olsen Herring; and siblings, Robert Hartwell Herring Jr., Teresa Herring Everett, and Eleanor Teague Pate. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hartwell Herring, and brother, William Craig Herring.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 26th at Radney Funeral Home (3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL) at 2:00 PM (visitation 12-2:00), followed by a procession to Pine Crest Cemetery (1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL).
