Charles Anthony Laurence

Charles Anthony Laurence “Tony” was born August 17, 1963, in Mobile, AL to Mark Matthew Laurence I and Rosemary Revere Laurence. He was a graduate of Murphy High School. Tony enjoyed an over 30 year career in insurance and was heavily involved in the community. Tony was a kind and generous soul with a larger than life presence who will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Tony is survived by his daughters; Whitney Chapman(John D) and Rebecca Laurence(Tyler), grandaughter; Vivian Chapman, sisters; Theresa Nurse(Lindsey) and Karen Laurence, Nephews; Mark Laurence III(Amy) and Edward Nurse(Lesleigh), and Niece; Megan Schenkel(Mitchell), aunts; Mary Ann Laurence and Viola Laurence, and many other family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents; Mark Laurence I and Rosemary Laurence, sister; Susan Laurence, and brother; Mark Laurence II.

Visitation will be held from 10:30am to 12:30pm on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Radney Funeral Home in Mobile. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1pm at Little Flower Catholic Church. There will be a graveside service immediately following the funeral at Magnolia Cemetery in Mobile.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Tony’s honor to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and/or Ochsner Cancer Institute.
