Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Sholders Reed, his parents, Jessie L. Reed and Martha Kimbell Reed, brothers, Jessie L. Reed and Bilbo Reed, sisters, Mittie Suber, Stella Mae Brooks, Annie Tabb, Plummie Clardy. He is survived by one son, David Reed, 3 sisters, Virginia (Melvin) Chavis, Bertha Hightower and Erlene Miller. Charlie enlisted in the Army and served in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He retired with Civil Service at Brookley Field and with Ingles Shipbuilding.
