Charles Albert Richards departed this life on July 28, 2018 surrounded by loving family and friends. He was born on March 20,1956 to Evelyn Thomas Richards and Frank Hoffman Richards in Mobile, Alabama. After spending his youth in Melbourne, Florida the family moved to Mobile when he was 13. His passions were fishing, surfing, diving, and hunting, but mostly spending time with his family and friends. Charlie was the owner of C.A. Richards Construction Company and retired in 2013. In 2016, he began working part-time at Mobile Fence Co. with his close friend, Andrew Thompson. While writing this Charlie wanted to express to everyone how much he appreciated the love and support through the years that made him who he was and who be became. Charlie found Christ at an early age but later in life he and his wife began their spiritual journey together at Our Savior Lutheran Church where he met Pastor Witt who helped him understand his true connection to Christ. His love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is what fed his spirit daily. Charlie also wanted to express how proud of a father his two daughters have made him. The beautiful women they have become both loving and given in every aspect of their life. “You have honored me, thank you. And to my wife who has been with me through this journey, thank you. There are no words that can express the love I have for you but I know you know that. As you say, Live, Laugh, and Love until the day we will be together again, side by side in God’s glory.” Charlie is survived by the love of his life, Sandra Reid Richards, two beautiful daughters, Sandy Ann Lamb (Ernest) and Chelsea Lenora Maddox (Jason); four grandchildren, Justin Blaine Young (Amy), Katherine Elizabeth Lamb, Price Ernest Lamb, Kaylee Blayne Lundy and Savannah Ann Maddox (due in August); and two great grandchildren, Eric Edward Young and Ava Marie Young.
