Charles Anthony Wright

Tony was born on October 30, 1942, in Jackson, MS to Charles and Charlene Wright. He grew up in Jackson, MS. He graduated from Murrah High School in 1960 and from Mississippi State University in 1964. He worked for Deposit Guaranty Bank until 1974 when he moved to Orlando, FL to work with Barnett Bank. He finished his career by engaging in several entrepreneurial ventures. In 2019, he moved to Mobile, AL to be close to his daughter, Jennifer.

Tony had a passion for golf, running, and biking. He was a regular attendee of Sunday School at the local Presbyterian Church in Winter Park, FL. He was an enthusiastic traveler, always enjoying new experiences, but loved coming home to his beloved dog, Orsay.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Gerlach Wright, mother, Charlene Wright Knox, stepfather, Dr. Isaac Cecil Knox, and stepsister Mary Lou Knox. He is survived by his two children, Jennifer Wright Lawler (Parrish) of Mobile, AL and Charles Christopher Wright (Natalie) of Batesville, MS. He is also survived by grandsons Griffin Hensley Brewster of Atlanta, GA, Joseph Christopher Wright (Caroline) of Jackson, TN, and Andrew Charles Wright of Batesville, MS. His sister, Charlene Wright Dennen (Ed) of Greenville, SC and his stepbrothers, Ike Knox (Jennifer) of Punta Gorda, FL, and Richard Knox (Lisa) of Vicksburg, MS as well as many extended family members.
