Charlie Mae “ChaCha” Ludlam – a 94 year-old native of Hamburg, AR and longtime resident of Mobile passed away Monday, April 28, 2014. She was very committed to her family and enjoyed bird watching on her back porch. She was a member of Creekwood Church of Christ.
Mrs. Ludlam was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson G. Ludlam, Sr., and sister, Willie Lee Williamson. She is survived by her children, Gil Ludlam, Chuck Ludlam (Beverly), Don Ludlam (Bekki), and Peggy Holt (Eddie); seven grandchildren, Jeff Ludlam (Cindy), Mandy Schmitz (Brandon), Nikki Givens (Steve) Brandon Ludlam (Shanna), Parker Sweet (Rebecca), Billy Holt (Katherine), and Jenni Starling (Dwayne); 16 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staffs of Gordon Oaks and Atria Regency for all of their wonderful professional care and support.
Funeral services will be held at Creekwood Church of Christ on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 12 p.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West.
