Chester Albert Lacey, age 83 of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully at The Retreat Hospice by Saad on April 6, 2023. A native of Rome, GA, he was the child of Lillie Middleton. He married Edna Honeycutt of Waynesville, NC in 1959, and was happily married until his passing. He is survived by his daughter Deborah McRee (Tony) of Semmes, AL, his son Gregory Lacey of Mobile, AL and daughter Kristal Lee (David) of Semmes, AL. He was preceded in death by his brother Sammy Middleton of Rome, GA, and survived by his brother Thomas Middleton of Macon, GA. He is survived by his Grandson Justin Caldwell (Lauren) of Semmes, AL and Great-Granddaughter Kallie Caldwell. Chester attended Berry School in Rome, GA, where he broke the high jump record in Track and Field. He later graduated with his GED. He served his country in the United States Navy as a Duty Swimmer and Electrician on a Nuclear Submarine. He retired as a Heavy Truck Salesman at Empire Truck Sales in Mobile. AL. Chester enjoyed fishing, Wii Golf, traveling and dining out with family in his spare time. Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
