Chris "Jack" Weaver

Chris “Jack” Weaver, age 74 of Axis, AL passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Jack was born on October 16, 1940 in Clarke County, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Joyce “Elaine” Johnson Weaver; his parents, Claude and Mary Gates Weaver, Sr. and brother, James F. Weaver. He is survived by his children, Joe (Mary) Weaver and DeAnna (Gene) Pickering; grandchildren, Matthew (Kelsey Tobias) Weaver, April (Jeremy Wright) Weaver, Michael (Holley Patrick) Pickering and Victoria Pickering; great-granddaughters, Adelyn Harris and Callie Pickering and his loyal dog, Rocky. Jack is also survived by his siblings, Claude (Bertha) Weaver, Jr., Mary E. (Gerald) Wilkerson, Bryant (Darlene) Weaver, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jack’s greatest legacy was his work ethic, working for 36 years at Alabama State Docks and owner of Weaver and Son Diesel for over 25 years. Other than working he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family at his camp at Bates Lake. Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and funeral service will be on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11:00 am all at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
