

Christine Maygarden Brabner – born in Mobile, September 26, 1925 passed away May 21, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was a 1942 graduate of Murphy High School; a wife, homemaker, mother and secretary. She was a long time member of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, George Reynolds Brabner, II; a son, Ernest Maygarden Brabner; her father, Marshall Augustus Maygarden; her mother, Sarah Xeriffa Bryars Maygarden; and four sisters, Marion Beaudrie, Madeline Cody, Luverne Harris, and Zuline Kennedy. She is survived by her children, George Reynolds “Rennie” (Mary Ann) Brabner, III and Christine “Tina” Brabner (Michael) Roberts; a brother, Ernest M. (Jeanette) Maygarden; her grandchildren, Laura Brabner, George Reynolds (Lindsey) Brabner, IV, Rebecca Roberts (Thomas Bruce III) Bedsole, James Alexander Roberts and Sarah Katherine Roberts; great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Brabner, Holden Reynolds Brabner and Harper Ann Brabner; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. from Dauphin Way United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials may be made to Allen Memorial Home, 735 S.
