

Christine Seignious Stinson, “Chris/Cookie”, age 74, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, peacefully passing away at her home on Thursday, August 25, 2016. Chris was a native Mobilian. She was the epitome of a loving, generous, bold and beautiful woman. She gave sacrificially of herself to her family and friends with enthusiasm, always lending an ear and encouragement to anyone in need. She faced life’s obstacles head-on with grace and optimism. Chris loved the Lord, her friends and people in general. She followed in her Grandfather’s and Father’s footsteps by obtaining her real estate license and moving on to become a real estate broker and owner of her own company. She also worked as a Legal Assistant for many years giving her very best to everyone she came in contact with. Second to her family, Chris loved riding horses. She was a wonderful artist, painting and creating beautiful things. She loved music and playing the piano. She loved boating and fishing with her husband, being at the beach, putting her toes in the sand and enjoying God’s beautiful creation. She was a gracious hostess and loved every holiday just to be with her family. She was a past longtime member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church and a current member of First Baptist Irvington. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Charles W. Seignious, Sr. and Cleola E (Mills) Seignious; and brother, Charles W. Seignious, Jr. (Barbara). She is survived by her husband, Winfred E. Stinson; two daughters, Vicki Jo Robinson Clarke (Charles), Tracy Lynn Robinson Flurry; three grandchildren; Ashley Christine Clarke, John Charles Clarke and Dylan James Flurry and brother, John D. Seignious (Delores) and many nieces, nephew and cousins. Visitation will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home, Dauphin Island Pkwy., on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
