I have such fond memories of Aunt Mack from my childhood. I loved going to her house, especially over the bay. She always has the best smile and laugh!
When I saw her last year at her 100th birthday celebration, she remembered who I was, and that I was Ann’s daughter!
Sending love and prayers to all of you 💛

Mrs. Claire Steadman always greeted me with her beautiful smile. She was such a precious gentle soul. I'm a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where I met her. May she rest in peace and her family, relatives and friends find comfort consolation in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Love in Christ Jesus,
Penny

This is my favorite picture of me with Nanny. She was my first babysitter. Although I didn’t see her as much as I would have liked to, she was always so interested in what was going on in my life. Whenever I would visit her she would ask me about softball. I will miss her a lot!

Nannie had a unbelievable gift to love all of us as if we were her only Child, Grandchild, Great Grandchild, Great Great Grandchild. She made the best Mash Potato's. Bread and Butter was always a staple at supper (lunch) or dinner . I never eat bread and butter unless I was at Nannies. I will miss her laugh and how she would sing while cleaning. This is my favorite pic of she and I.

Oh what can I say about Aunt Mackie. I have loved her and been around this amazing woman since I was little. I remember my Daddy (R. J) taking us to visit her many a Sunday. She was, after all, my Daddy favorite aunt. She was always smiling & laughing and just like her brother, my Papa, there was never too many people in her house. She loved ALL her family so much. I have many memories of her throughout the years. Memories I cherish! I will miss you, Aunt Mackie, especially those kisses and hugs and hear you calling me "Darrrrling". I love you!!!!

Mrs. Steadman was truly a part of the greatest generation and, aside from my own parents, my favorite. When she stopped by my parent’s house as our mom lay dying, she elicited the last smile we ever saw on our mother’s face—something I’ll always remember. And what a wonderful job she did raising her family! I celebrate her life, and I recognize what a loss her death is to her family. Truly a great lady.
