Clara Elizabeth Folis James-Parnell

Clara Elizabeth Folis James Parnell, a native of Memphis, TN and longtime resident of Semmes, AL, died Monday, September 15, 2014 at the age of 91. Mrs. Parnell was a bookkeeper at Mobile Check Exchange for many years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest Eugene James, Sr. and Oza Lee Parnell; her parents, John Arthur Folis and Mollie Lavinia Kane Folis; her son, Leonard Folis James, Sr. and her sister, Jacqueline Jonnie Folis Ciulla. She is survived by her sons, Ernest Eugene (Claudia) James, Jr. of Semmes, AL; and John Franklin (Betty) James of Mobile, AL; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will held from the Chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.mmgfuneralhome.com.
